On March 18, 2026, Antti Paalanen brings his hybrid world to FGO Barbara, 1 rue de Fleury, 75018 Paris. An accordionist from Finland, he blends Nordic tradition with Electronic Dance Music and returns the instrument to the center of the dancefloor. On stage, his accordion—renamed Breathbox—becomes a full-fledged playing partner, exhaling rough, organic textures while the beats hammer away. Here, the accordion leads the dance, moving between folk-like melodies and electronic pulses.
Shaped by metal since his teens, Paalanen inserts a guttural vocal style inspired by Siberian traditions into this techno-tinged bath. This vocal timbre, laid over repetitive lines and dense bass, creates a trance where the ancient meets the modern without cancelling either. No ossified folklore and no formulaic club music: an unapologetic, accordion-driven techno tailored for live performance, channeling energy and unsettling expectations.
