Thomas Fersen

Info

Since his first album in 1993, Thomas Fersen has carved out a singular path in French chanson, balancing mischief, tightly crafted narratives and a keen sense of detail. Thirty-two years after Le Bal des Oiseaux, he returns with Le Choix de la Reine, released in February, and a tour that puts his songs back at the center of the stage. At La Pyramide — pôle culturel Bagnols-sur-Cèze, on March 13, 2026, he presents Vibrations, a concert conceived as a theatre of sounds and words.

For this new set, Fersen is joined by the trio SR9, with arrangements by Clément Ducol. Melodic percussion — xylophone, vibraphone, glockenspiel, marimba — converses with piano and voice, opening his songs to a clear, woody palette. The writing rubs against the grain of the bars; the stories reinvent themselves within a lively scenography where word, silence and gesture sketch the image in the present. We encounter his characters and fables in a more percussive light, between rhythmic bursts and velvety resonances, for an acoustic Fersen who is precise and playful, carried by SR9’s collective energy.
