Info
On May 13, 2026 at Hasard Ludique in Paris, Florry — led by singer-guitarist Francie Medosch and born from Philadelphia’s DIY scene — arrives with guitar-driven rock rooted in alt-country. The band is presenting Sounds Like…, recorded in three days at the end of 2023 at Drop of Sun studio with producer Colin Miller, conceived as a band effort. In an expanded lineup including Jon Cox, John Murray, Collin Dennen, Will Henrikson, Katya Malison and Joey Sullivan, Florry refines a collective sound that is rough and warm, where Medosch’s direct songwriting meets organic arrangements. Between indie impulse and American roots, the set relies on unabashed choruses, shared vocals and guitars that lead the way.
Friendship, an alternative band from Philadelphia, presents Caveman Wakes Up, an album that broadens their approach to country. Dan Wriggins’s raspy voice carries eleven country-rock tracks in which clear lines, echoes and repetitive motifs intertwine. The songs move between slow ballads and understated electric build-ups, with a constant attention to the words. A stripped-back aesthetic that highlights ensemble playing and the group’s quiet tension.
