Miossec

Miossec, a singer-songwriter from Brest, will be at the Colisée in Lens on March 6, 2026. With Boire, recorded in 1995 with Guillaume Jouan and Bruno Leroux, he established a direct writing style and an unvarnished way of singing. Boire is often cited as one of the milestones of the new wave of French song. Audiences followed him from his third album, Apprendre, which he himself views with some detachment. He was then followed by Brûle, L’Étreinte, Chansons ordinaires, Ici-bas, ici même, Mammifères and Les Rescapés, which trace a course faithful to words, to rhyme, and to a musicality always in service of the text. With Simplifier, released in 2023, Miossec returned to a stripped-down approach: guitar, bass, an old drum machine, recorded at his home in Brest. A gesture that extends the artisanal spirit of his beginnings, nourished by the reissue of Boire and an anniversary tour during which these new songs took shape. On stage, he presents this repertoire without excess, privileging the clarity of the lyrics and the texture of the arrangements.
