Olivier de Benoist « Le droit au bonheur »

French comedian Olivier de Benoist returns with a show built around a simple idea: he sought happiness and ended up with a family. Rather than give up, he turns this minor setback into comic material and, true to his optimism, embarks on an obstinate quest for bliss. Between admissions of an overwhelmed father and confessions of a husband who isn't always inspired, he recounts domestic life with a deliberately off-kilter sensibility, stringing together anecdotes, situations that spiral out of control, and small everyday acts of cowardice. His current moral can be summed up in an ironic maxim: to live happily, live hidden — but above all, keep a safe distance from your wife and children. Written with Paul-Marie Debrie and Jérôme Daran, this one-man show skewers everyday life without sermons or grand principles, relying instead on a taste for pithy lines and razor-sharp timing.
