Info
On September 26, 2026 at the Winter Gardens Blackpool, the Blackpool 80s Weekender lines up a full-on slice of British pop craft, with ABC and Go West at the center. ABC, led by Martin Fry, brings that sharp, glossy mix of synth-pop, disco edges and orchestral flair that made their early records hit so hard, with songs built for big choruses and sleek arrangements. Expect a set that moves between the romantic drama of their classic era and the later, more dance-pop side of the catalogue.
Go West lands with the duo’s melodic pop rock and blue-eyed soul touch: bright guitars, smooth hooks, and that late-80s studio shine translated into a straightforward live punch. Around them, the day rounds out with Hue and Cry’s sophisti-pop swing, The Christians’ gospel-tinged harmonies, and Toyah’s post-punk to pop-rock attitude, tying the whole bill together into one shared 80s language.
