Dhruv

Born in London to an Indian family and raised in Singapore, Dhruv crafts an intimate English-language pop that sits between indie pop, soft R&B and bedroom pop, featuring voice-centred songwriting, supple melodies and deliberately spare arrangements. He began releasing music in the late 2010s and broadened his audience significantly when the track 'double take', released in 2019, circulated widely online in 2021. In its wake, songs like 'moonlight' extend a tender, hushed register in which the vocal remains foregrounded and the production supports without excess. With the EP 'rapunzel', released in 2022, Dhruv deepened this direction by giving greater scope to his songwriting while remaining within a concise, introspective alternative-pop aesthetic.
