Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Vietnamese American singer, songwriter, and producer Keshi—born Casey Luong—crafts alternative R&B that weaves intimate pop, lo-fi influences, and hip-hop touches. First active online under the moniker keshibeats, he began releasing self-produced tracks on SoundCloud in the mid-2010s while working as a nurse, before committing to music full-time. Signing with Island Records proved a turning point, followed by a run of EPs—"skeletons" (2019), "bandaids" (2020), and "always" (2020)—that established a musical world centered on frequent falsetto vocals, minimalist rhythms, and introspective lyrics. His full-length debut, "Gabriel", arrived in 2022, extending that aesthetic with more expansive arrangements while remaining rooted in personal songwriting. Keshi occasionally collaborates with other producers—notably Madeon on "beside you"—and on stage presents a set that blends vocal performance with light instrumentation, showcased on tours across North America and Asia in the early 2020s.
