Bloody Mary

Based in Berlin, French DJ and producer Bloody Mary has been shaping an acid-tinged techno aesthetic since the mid-2000s: undulating basslines and stripped-down rhythms blend with house and electro influences. After starting out with club sets in France, she moved into production, releasing several maxi singles before issuing the 2009 album Black Pearl on the Contexterrior label, which established the foundations of a sound that is both direct and meditative. In 2010 she founded her own label, Dame-Music, conceived as a space for her work and for an international techno scene drawn to raw textures and hypnotic structures. Through releases on Dame-Music and other European labels, Bloody Mary has maintained a steady focus on acid techno, alternating dancefloor-oriented tracks with more atmospheric compositions. Active on club and festival stages across Europe, North America and Asia, she favors sets built around progressive tension, mixing techno classics, acid references and her own productions.
