Rigoberta Bandini

Born in Barcelona, Rigoberta Bandini is the stage name of Paula Ribó, Spanish singer-songwriter whose career spans pop, light electronic, song and disco touches. Trained in dramatic arts at the Institut del Teatre, she first worked as an actress and voice actress in Catalonia and Spain, lending her voice notably to Caillou as well as to several films and series. Before her solo project launched in 2019, Paula Ribó co-founded the trio The Mamzelles, between music and stage, with two albums published, Que se desnude otra in 2012 and Totem in 2014. Under the name Rigoberta Bandini, she develops a direct, often ironical writing style, mixing very pop refrains, spoken word, varied cultural references and dance production without being limited to a single register. Tracks like In Spain We Call It Soledad, Too Many Drugs, Perra or A ver qué pasa accompany her emergence, then Ay mamá in 2022 greatly expands her audience at the Benidorm Fest. Her first album, La emperatriz, appears in 2022. Rigoberta Bandini then continues this journey with several collaborations, the song Yo solo quiero amor for the film Te estoy amando locamente, awarded the Goya for Best Original Song, followed by a second album, Jesucrista superstar, released in 2025.
