Yami Safdie
Born in Haedo, in the Greater Buenos Aires area, Yami Safdie first became known in Argentina from 2017 with a series of singles released online, before gradually expanding her audience in the current Latin-pop scene. Her music blends pop ballad, light reggaeton, Latin R&B and urban touches in a voice- and lyric-centered format, with regular attention given to simple choruses and understated arrangements. After several tracks released independently, Yami Safdie released her first album, Dije que no me iba a enamorar, in 2022, followed by Sur in 2023, where she develops a more personal register while multiplying collaborations with artists from Spanish-speaking pop and urban scenes, including Milo J, DannyLux, Gustavo Santaolalla, L-Gante or Omar Montes. Alongside her releases, Yami Safdie moves between social networks, festivals and large stages, notably through Primavera Sound Argentina and opening acts for concerts in Argentina. The track De nada marks an expansion of her visibility in 2023, then En otra vida, shared with Lasso in 2024, establishes Yami Safdie at a Latin American scale. This trajectory is also accompanied by an EP, Modales, released in 2024, which extends her blend of melodic pop, urban inflections and breakup songs with direct writing.
