Chencho Corleone

A first-generation Puerto Rican reggaeton artist, Chencho Corleone rose to prominence around the turn of the 2000s as part of the duo Plan B, formed with his cousin Maldy and associated with Puerto Rico’s urban scene. With Plan B, Chencho was part of the rise of both commercial and underground reggaeton, releasing mixtapes and contributing to compilations before issuing the album “El Mundo del Plan B: Los Que La Montan” in 2002, followed by “House of Pleasure” in 2010 and “Love & Sex” in 2014. These records consolidated a style that blends club reggaeton, explicit perreo, and melodic hooks. Chencho’s high voice and very rhythmic vocal lines became a hallmark in romantic reggaeton as well as on more dancefloor-oriented tracks. From the second half of the 2010s he developed a parallel solo career, increased collaborations with the new generation of Latin urban artists, and embraced formats closer to Latin trap and urban pop while remaining rooted in reggaeton aesthetics. Now known by his stage name Chencho Corleone, he navigates the legacy of classic reggaeton, transnational collaborations, and singles aimed at clubs and streaming platforms.
