Farruko
Born in Bayamón (Puerto Rico) in 1991, Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado, known as Farruko, emerged in the late 2000s on the local reggaeton scene before gaining recognition across the Latin world with a string of digital singles. He initially built his career around melodic reggaeton and urban ballads, consolidated by his debut album "El Talento del Bloque" (2010) and "TMPR: The Most Powerful Rookie" (2012). The artist later broadened his sound toward Latin trap and dancehall with "Farruko Presenta: Los Menores" (2014) and "Visionary" (2015), while collaborating with artists such as J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Pedro Capó. With "TrapXficante" (2017) and "Gangalee" (2019), Farruko intensified the fusion of Caribbean sonorities, urban pop and electronic rhythms, an evolution that culminated in the album "La 167" (2021), which blends reggaeton tracks, more pop-oriented songs and club anthems. Known for hits like "6 AM", "Chillax", "Krippy Kush", "Calma (Remix)" and "Pepas", Farruko performs at festivals and arenas across Latin America, the United States and Europe, while increasingly introducing spiritual themes into his public statements and some recent projects.
