Born in 1995 in Vancouver, Canada, Alexander Leon Gumuchian, aka bbno$, is part of a rap and hip-hop scene deeply shaped by internet culture and social media. The project emerged in the mid-2010s through online releases and a strong presence on SoundCloud, before coalescing around a light-toned rap driven by minimalist trap production, repetitive hooks, and a marked taste for self-deprecation. The 2019 single Lalala, recorded with producer Y2K, brought bbno$ international visibility and cemented his image as an artist attuned to the codes of streaming, memes, and short-form content. That same year saw the release of Recess, followed by Good Luck Have Fun in 2020, Eat Ya Veggies in 2021, and Bag or Die in 2022, which extend this blend of melodic rap, pop influences, and digital references. In parallel, bbno$ has developed a regular collaboration with American rapper Yung Gravy under the name Baby Gravy—documented notably by the albums Baby Gravy 2 (2020) and Baby Gravy 3 (2023)—and has toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Asia.
