Dream, Ivory

Led by brothers Christian and Louie Baello from Orange County, California, Dream, Ivory is rooted in the U.S. indie scene at the intersection of dream pop, shoegaze, and indie rock with a bedroom‑pop tint. Born as a home project first shared online, Dream, Ivory drew attention in the late 2010s with a run of tracks built on distortion‑laden guitars and reverb‑drenched vocals, shaping melancholic atmospheres within fairly straightforward song structures. The duo has steered its writing from a lo‑fi, intimate sound toward denser productions where guitar textures intertwine with weighty bass lines and slow tempos informed as much by slowcore as by strands of alternative pop.
