Lucy Bedroque
Born in the Bronx, New York, in 2006 and based in Los Angeles since childhood, Lucy Bedroque develops a project at the crossroads of rap, singing and production, blending digicore, lo-fi, rage rap and textures drawn from emo, rock and electronic music. Initially active as Lostrushi, Lucy Bedroque started by producing lofi instrumentals before adding her voice to tracks in the early 2020s; together with Kaystrueno she also helped coin the term “maplekore,” used to describe a sound inspired by the world of the game MapleStory. The first album, Sisterhood, was released in 2023 with a lo-fi demo aesthetic, built on rock samples and fragmented writing. The 2024 name change to Lucy Bedroque marked a new phase, highlighted by the EPs Amy, Tether (with Egobreak) and then Fête de la Vanille. In 2025 the mixtape Unmusique, released on deadAir Records, hardened the approach with a more direct sound where rage impulses sit alongside EDM accents. Based in Los Angeles, Lucy Bedroque moves between underground rap scenes and digicore networks, with collaborations and appearances alongside Jane Remover, Prettifun, Egobreak, Jackzebra, Kuru and Slayr.
