House Gospel Choir

Based in London around Natalie Maddix, founder and artistic director from the south of the British capital, House Gospel Choir has since the 2010s developed a choral format that links club culture, gospel heritage and the energy of house and garage scenes. The collective brings together singers and musicians in a live-oriented setup, with reworkings of house tracks and original compositions carried by soulful harmonies, dance-driven pulses and a spirit inherited from soundsystems. House Gospel Choir first made a mark on the London scene before expanding its activity to festivals, clubs and concert venues in the UK and internationally. In its discography, the group released the single 'Salvation' and then the album RE//CHOIRED in 2020 on Island Records, a project that fuses vocal house, contemporary gospel and club-oriented productions. House Gospel Choir has also collaborated with several artists from pop, house and dance, among them Ella Henderson, Oliver Heldens and Nile Rodgers. In 2024, House Gospel Choir released the album Love Is The Message, which prolongs this collective aesthetic between choral fervor, electronic groove and songwriting oriented toward sharing.
