Nightly

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the American trio Nightly has been crafting an alternative pop sound since the mid-2010s, defined by prominent synths, melodic guitars, and vocals geared toward instant hooks. Formed by cousins Jonathan Capeci and Joey Beretta with drummer Nicholas Sainato, Nightly broke through in 2016 with the single “XO,” quickly followed by the EP “Honest” that same year, which established the band on the North American indie-pop scene. Nightly’s music sits between electronic pop, indie pop, and melodic rock, featuring polished production and lyrics focused on relationships, doubt, and young adult life. The band then hit the club circuit and supported larger acts, building a steady presence on the road and at festivals. In 2020, Nightly released their debut full-length, “night, love you.,” distilling the nocturnal, sentimental aesthetic already present on their EPs, and returned in 2023 with “wear your heart out,” signaling a shift toward a more expansive pop while maintaining intimate, direct songwriting.
