The Strike
Based in Los Angeles, The Strike brings together Chris Crabb on vocals, Jay Tibbitts on drums and David Maemone on keyboards and guitar. The Strike’s trajectory begins in the American Mountain West before taking root in California, with songwriting that blends pop rock and melodic rock within an aesthetic shaped by the 1970s and 1980s — featuring direct choruses, prominent keyboards and a clear rhythmic tension. The Strike released a first album, Faint of Heart, in 2017 and gradually expanded its presence beyond its original scene. In 2022, The Strike signed with Nettwerk Music Group and released The Lost Years, an album that accompanied the expansion of their touring across the United States. The trio operates in a compact band format centered on Chris Crabb’s voice and on arrangements where the energy of rock remains linked to a readable pop production without tipping into minimalism. The Strike thus develops a sound calibrated for both stage and studio, with a clear continuity between its beginnings in the American West and its establishment in Los Angeles.
