Charlotte Dos Santos
Born in Oslo in 1990 and raised in Bærum, Charlotte Dos Santos follows a path spanning Norway, Brazil and Germany, where she is today based in Berlin. A singer, songwriter and arranger trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Charlotte Dos Santos develops music at the crossroads of jazz, soul, neo-soul and Latin American references, with a strong penchant for hushed textures, smooth rhythms and vocal harmonies. Her writing moves between intimate singing, slow groove and compositions that place a significant emphasis on color and atmosphere. Charlotte Dos Santos emerged as a solo artist with the EP Cleo in 2017, then continued this work on Harvest Time in 2020 and Morfo in 2022. Her trajectory links her as much to jazz stages as to soul circuits and alternative music, in a format where arrangement and voice occupy a central place. Through these records, Charlotte Dos Santos refines a personal language that blends Brazilian heritage, jazz training and a contemporary approach to the song, without limiting herself to the confines of a single genre.
