Ducks Ltd.

Ducks Ltd. is rooted in Toronto’s indie rock scene around the duo of Tom McGreevy (vocals, bass) and Evan Lewis (guitar). Initially active as Ducks Unlimited, the band has shaped a sound defined by tight melodic writing, chiming guitars indebted to 1980s jangle pop, brisk rhythms, and a subtle tension running through lyrics often focused on everyday anxieties and relationships. After a first EP, Get Bleak, released in 2019 and later reissued, Ducks Ltd. refined this aesthetic on the 2021 album Modern Fiction, more clearly outlining a taut yet accessible brand of indie rock, somewhere between radiant pop and post-punk touches. Now on the roster of the American label Carpark Records, Ducks Ltd. followed up in 2024 with Harm’s Way, which extends this approach with direct song structures, interwoven guitar arrangements, and vocals pushed to the forefront. On stage, the project expands to a larger lineup, allowing Ducks Ltd. to translate its compositions into a denser format without altering the melodic core of its writing.
