Molly Tuttle
Guitarist, singer and songwriter based in Nashville, Molly Tuttle works within the bluegrass and Americana traditions while incorporating contemporary folk and country elements. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States, she grew up in a musical environment, played from a young age in the family band The Tuttles and later studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, which grounded her both in acoustic flatpicking technique and in songwriting. From the mid‑2010s she gained attention on North American bluegrass and folk stages, released the EP Rise in 2017, followed by her first full‑length album When You’re Ready in 2019 with broader Americana sounds. In 2020, But I’d Rather Be with You presented a set of rearranged covers in a modern folk setting, before a clear re‑commitment to bluegrass with Crooked Tree in 2022, a project with her band Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway. With City of Gold in 2023, again with Golden Highway, she consolidated a repertoire in which narrative songwriting, precise acoustic guitar playing and the collective energy of contemporary bluegrass occupy a central place, showcased on roots music festival and club stages in the U.S. and beyond.
