Based in London, Venjent produces a nervous, melodic drum & bass informed by British bass music, fast breakbeats and a sampling approach that incorporates everyday sounds into short, direct and tightly constructed tracks. He came to attention in the early 2020s by posting videos that put the composition process front and center, turning a door, a voice or a household noise into a rhythmic starting point.
