Jeune Lion

Between Ivorian rap and afro-urban sounds, Jeune Lion is developing from Côte d’Ivoire a project where spiritual imagery, everyday-life storytelling and a projection toward an unapologetic success intersect. Carried by a voice put front and center, Jeune Lion constructs tracks that blend melodic singing, rapped flows and trap-adjacent rhythms, in an often dark and introspective atmosphere. His visual aesthetic, crafted through videos and social media, extends this hybrid universe where sacred symbols, street references and the codes of a connected urban youth coexist. By releasing his songs on streaming platforms and SoundCloud, Jeune Lion positions himself within the African New Wave and joins a generation of Ivorian artists who refresh the local rap scene through contact with international stages. His successive releases help define a musical direction focused on afro-urban, enveloping moods and a writing style that oscillates between confession, social observation and identity affirmation.
