Clinton Kane

Born in Oslo, Norway, into a family of Philippine and European origins, Clinton Kane developed his project between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, working in a vein that blends pop, folk and melodic rock. Initially active on YouTube—where he began posting guitar‑and‑voice and piano‑and‑voice covers in the mid‑2010s—he soon turned to writing original songs centered on emotional vulnerability, family, faith and romantic breakups. Signed to Columbia Records in the late 2010s, he released the EP this is what it feels like in 2019, which established a style of intimate ballads, pronounced vocal climaxes and spare arrangements. In 2021 tracks like "Chicken Tendies" and "I Guess I’m in Love" raised his international profile. His debut album, Maybe Someday It’ll All Be OK, was released in 2022 and collects songs in which Clinton Kane explores an emotional pop register, oscillating between blunt confession and sing‑along choruses, later translating these pieces to the stage in formats ranging from acoustic solo to a tight band accompaniment.
