Adam Melchor
Trained in classical (lyric) singing in New Jersey, USA, Adam Melchor initially pursued a classical practice before turning to songwriting and folk guitar. After moving to Los Angeles, he became part of an intimate indie folk and pop scene where foregrounded vocals, vocal harmonies and light acoustic arrangements play a central role. His early releases, including the EP The Archer (2017) and Plan On You (2019), laid the foundation for songwriting focused on personal narratives, relationships and a gentle melancholy, often expressed through ballads. With Melchor Lullaby Hotline, Vol. 1 (2021), conceived as a project of songs shared directly with his audience, he explored a more narrative and conceptual format, between chamber folk and hushed pop. The album Here Goes Nothing! (2022) continued this direction with slightly broader production while remaining guided by clear melodies, and the EP Fruitland (2023) examined more colorful pop textures without abandoning the original acoustic aesthetic. Frequently performing across North America and Europe, Adam Melchor engages in numerous writing collaborations and vocal duets within the indie sphere while maintaining an identity centered on intimate lyrics and flexible vocal delivery.
