Franc Moody

In London, Ned Franc and Jon Moody, operating as Franc Moody, develop a repertoire that sits between disco, funk and dance-pop. The project is conceived as a duo but is often expanded on stage. It took shape in the late 2010s and quickly established an aesthetic built on flexible grooves, bright keyboards, prominent bass lines and dance-focused songwriting that remains within a pop format. Franc Moody first released the EP Dance Moves in 2018, then their debut album Dream In Colour in 2020, which more clearly cemented the synthesis of funk heritage, electronic textures and communal choruses. The EP House of FM followed in 2021, and their second album Into the Ether arrived in 2022, where the duo extended this approach with a broader, still rhythm-centred sound. In 2025 Franc Moody added Chewing The Fat to their discography. Led by Jon Moody and Ned Franc, Franc Moody occupies a London scene where dance-pop, club culture and modern disco intersect, with music that prioritises momentum, rhythmic precision and direct arrangements.
