Alexandra Savior

Born in Portland, Oregon in 1995 and raised in Vancouver, Washington, Alexandra Savior developed as a teenager a songwriting style shaped by soul, grunge and pop with psychedelic overtones. She came to attention in 2012 thanks to covers posted on YouTube that were circulated at the time by Courtney Love; after high school she moved to Los Angeles to launch her career. Signed to Columbia, she recorded her debut album Belladonna of Sadness (2017) with James Ford and Alex Turner, in a register that mixes dream pop, chamber pop, indie rock and psychedelic rock, featuring slow tracks, dense arrangements and a deep voice at the centre. After that initial collaboration with the label ended, Alexandra Savior returned with The Archer (2020), released on 30th Century Records following work with Sam Cohen in New York, in a more stripped-down, introspective vein. She can also be heard on Broken Bells' 'Good Luck' (2019). Later signed to RCA, Alexandra Savior continued this trajectory with Beneath the Lilypad (2025), where her songwriting retains that blend of chamber pop, indie rock and darker textures.
