Vlad Holiday

Born in Bucharest in 1989 and based in the United States since the late 1990s, Vlad Holiday has built his career between New York and Nashville, in an indie register with lo‑fi, dream pop, bedroom pop and psychedelic rock, with touches of new wave, soul and jazz. A multi-instrumentalist, author, composer and producer of his own songs, Vlad Holiday began releasing solo from 2017 with a series of DIY‑minded singles, including Quit Playing Cool, Children, Tunnel Vision and So Damn Into You. His writing favors melodic songs, often carried by vaporous guitars, flexible rhythms and a hushed production. This approach is evident on the EPs Fall Apart With Me (2020) and Write Me Off The Show (2021), which accompany his early live shows and club tours in the United States, as well as appearances in Paris, London and Istanbul. Alongside his solo project, Vlad Holiday also works as a producer and co‑writer for other artists, particularly around the New York indie‑rock scene. In 2024, Vlad Holiday released his first album, My Favorite Drug, with collaborations from Matt Shultz and Kacey Musgraves, while signing or co‑writing several tracks for Cage The Elephant, including Neon Pill and Metaverse.
