Vesterinen yhtyeineen
Active since 2009 in Finland, in the Uusimaa region, Vesterinen yhtyeineen formed around singer and songwriter Tero Vesterinen and develops a Finnish-language repertoire positioned between pop, indie pop and iskelmä-pop, with a direct melodic writing and a strong taste for group arrangements. The lineup, which over the years has grown into a larger ensemble, rests on a collective dynamic where guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, backing vocals and, occasionally, brass give its songs a color that is both accessible and worked. The project gained momentum with the track “Mitä tapahtui Hokkasen Timolle” and the album Jönköping in 2009, before continuing with Erikoismiehen jäähyväiset in 2011 and Tiedän miltä tuntuu in 2013. After Onnellinen mies in 2015 and Kirottu yksinäisyys in 2016, Vesterinen yhtyeineen carved its path on its own label before publishing Faaraoiden aika in 2019, Meissä asuu elämä in 2021 and Hetken ikuinen in 2023. On stage, Vesterinen yhtyeineen has toured since its beginnings between festivals and venues in Finland, in a spacious band format that highlights both choruses and the overall interplay. Among the milestones are a compilation, Paviaani – Parhaat 2009–2017, and several tracks widely identified in its discography, such as “Kukaan ei koskaan”, “Onnellinen mies”, “Tummilla teillä” or “Kohti sydänpeltoja”.
