Teflon Brothers
Formed in Helsinki in 2006 around Pyhimys, Heikki Kuula and Voli, Teflon Brothers began with satirical Finnish‑language rap. They quickly broadened their sound toward a more direct pop and dance aesthetic, favoring catchy choruses, playful détournements and a strong visual identity in their videos, many of which they wrote or produced themselves. After an early notable track on the Adihasla soundtrack in 2006, Teflon Brothers released the albums T (2009) and © (2010), later changed labels and continued with Valkoisten dyynien ratsastajat (2013), Isänpäivä (2014), Circus (2017) and Loppuunmyyty (2021). Over the years their music shifted from parodic hip‑hop to a festive, electronic‑infused pop‑rap, while retaining irony and a playful use of popular tropes. Their career also features several visible collaborations, including with Stig, Meiju Suvas, Mariska and Pandora; with Pandora they participated in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021 with the song “I Love You.” Since 2022 the group has officially presented itself as Estonian, while remaining associated with the Finnish scene from which it emerged.
