Tan Bionica
Formed in Buenos Aires in the early 2000s, Tan Bionica brings together Chano Moreno Charpentier on vocals, Bambi Moreno Charpentier on bass, Seby Seoane on guitar and Diego Lichtenstein on drums. After the EP Wonderful noches in 2003, the band released Canciones del huracán in 2007, a debut album still strongly marked by guitars and a straightforward rock approach, before steering its songwriting toward a more melodic, urban pop rock with Obsesionario in 2010. Tan Bionica then increased the emphasis on electronic textures and danceable choruses with Destinología in 2013 and continued in that direction with Hola mundo in 2015, where the sound became more pop while retaining a rock foundation. This evolution went hand in hand with growing visibility on major Argentine and Latin American stages, through tours, festivals and large-scale concerts. Put on hiatus in 2016, the band’s members pursued other projects, notably solo work by Chano and Bambi. Tan Bionica’s return was announced in 2023 at Lollapalooza Argentina, relaunching the group’s activity after several years of interruption. Throughout their discography, themes of the night, romantic relationships, disorientation and urban life run through songs that blend pop, rock and electronic elements.
