Slope
Formed in 2014 in Duisburg, Germany, Slope belongs to a hardcore scene defined by a strong taste for groove and shifting rhythms. The band develops a frontal hardcore punk sound in which riffs take on funky inflections, and song structures alternate fast passages, slower sections and looser parts designed to amplify the collective energy in concert. Slope steadily shaped its identity with the releases Helix in 2014 and Losin’ Grip in 2017, before taking a further step with the debut album Street Heat in 2021, which firmly established this blend of punchy hardcore and more danceable accents. That momentum continues with Freak Dreams in 2024, where Slope continues to explore the mix of punk tension and pronounced groove. On stage, the band stands out in international hardcore contexts—appearing at festivals such as Ieper Fest, The Sound of Revolution and Outbreak Festival—and has shared bills with acts like Madball, Turnstile, Cold World, Terror, Code Orange and No Warning, consolidating its place within the European contemporary hardcore network.
