Bon Entendeur

Bon Entendeur is a French electronic music collective that came into its own in the early 2010s around Arnaud Bonet, Pierre Della Monica, and Nicolas Boisseleau. Initially a series of online mixtapes, Bon Entendeur crafted selections that blended soul, funk, disco, Francophone chanson, and electronic music, punctuated by excerpts from interviews with political, artistic, and media figures. This process of sonic collage gradually established an aesthetic situated between nu-disco, French touch, and electronic pop, with the spoken voice at its core. From the mid-2010s onward, Bon Entendeur moved into producing original tracks and covers, exploring a more song-oriented format with pieces sung in French and English that extended the mixtape universe while adapting it to the stage and the club. The trio then performed both DJ sets and live shows, moving between festivals, contemporary music venues, and clubs in France and internationally. The release of the album Aller-Retour in 2019, followed by Minuit in 2021, cemented Bon Entendeur’s discographic footprint, while they continued in parallel to share themed mixtapes and collaborate with various interpreters of French pop and chanson.
