Schlaasss

Formed as a duo by Charlie Dirty and Daddy Schwartz, Schlaasss took shape in France in the early 2010s at a sharp intersection of rap, electronic music, punk and industrial textures. Schlaasss develops a jarring aesthetic built on spoken or chanted vocals, dry rhythms and noisy layers that place the project between experimental hip‑hop, electro‑punk and noise. The project's trajectory has been forged in independent circuits and on stages where alternative rap, clubs and venues rooted in punk and DIY cultures meet. Through releases under the name Schlaasss and performances across France, the duo has honed a formula in which dark humor, saturation and the bluntness of the lyrics are central, without erasing a physical, danceable dimension. Schlaasss thus occupies a frictional zone between performance, distorted song, tense spoken‑word and abrasive electronics, with an intentionally unstable identity that plays on the clash between stage energy, provocation and rhythmic precision.
