Sidilarsen

Originally from Toulouse, Sidilarsen has developed since the late 1990s a crossover between metal, industrial rock and electronic music, built around heavy guitars, pronounced programmed rhythms and vocals in French sometimes mixed with English. Identified on the French alternative scene with the album Biotop in 2003, the band followed up with Eau in 2005 and Une nuit pour sept jours in 2008, establishing a blend of metal riffs, synthetic textures and sung choruses that sits as comfortably in rock as in club culture. The discography continues with Chatterbox (2014), Dancefloor Bastards (2016), On va tous crever (2019) and Que la lumière soit (2022), each release adjusting the balance between frontal energy, a danceable dimension and more melodic passages. Active on rock venue stages, metal festivals and alternative circuits in France and across Europe, the group relies on a core of stable musicians around the singer and principal songwriter, with a lineup regularly readjusted, to defend a repertoire whose lyrics address social, political and intimate themes in a direct manner.
