Seafret
Formed on the northeast coast of England in Bridlington, Seafret brings together vocalist Jack Sedman and guitarist Harry Draper in an indie‑folk and acoustic pop register shaped by the proximity of the North Sea — the source of their name, inspired by the coastal fog known as "sea fret." The duo emerged in the early 2010s, first attracting attention online and then on British stages with songs built around an expressive voice, melodic guitars and spare arrangements focused on emotion and intimate storytelling. After several initial singles, Seafret released the EP Give Me Something in 2014, followed by Oceans in 2015, whose title track firmly established the project's identity between melancholic ballads and introspective songwriting. The debut album Tell Me It's Real appeared in 2016, confirming this guitar‑and‑voice pop direction bordering contemporary folk, while Most of Us Are Strangers (2020) and Wonderland (2023) extended that aesthetic with denser productions, yet preserved the duo's minimalist dynamic both live and in the studio.
