Pabllo Vittar
Born in 1994 in São Luís, in the state of Maranhão, Brazil, Pabllo Vittar emerged in the mid-2010s as a singer and drag queen on the Brazilian pop scene. After starting out online, Pabllo gained attention in 2015 with the single “Open Bar,” a Portuguese version of a Major Lazer track, before releasing her debut album “Vai Passar Mal” in 2017, characterized by a fusion of pop, funk carioca and electronic sounds and featuring hits like “K.O.” and “Corpo Sensual.” The albums “Não Para Não” (2018) and “111” (2020) expanded her repertoire toward a mix of pop music, reggaeton and dance in Portuguese, Spanish and English, while establishing the artist on club stages, festivals and LGBT+ events in Brazil and internationally. With “Batidão Tropical” (2021), she revisited repertoires from Brazil’s Northeast, blending them with pop and brega textures, before exploring darker, more nocturnal moods on “Noitada” (2023). Collaborations with artists such as Anitta, Major Lazer and Charli XCX accompany this path, where drag performance, choreography and visual aesthetics occupy a central place in Pabllo Vittar’s artistic project.
