Marc Dupré

Firmly rooted in Quebec’s francophone music scene, Marc Dupré has established himself as a singer-songwriter straddling pop, mainstream pop and soft rock, driven by melodic writing and ballads focused on relationships and everyday life. Born in 1973 in Quebec City, Canada, he first started out as a comedian and impressionist before turning to music in the mid-2000s, supported by an artistic circle connected to Céline Dion, with whom he recorded the duet “Tout près du bonheur.” His debut album, “Refaire le monde,” was released in 2005, followed by “Marc Dupré” in 2008 and “Entre deux mondes” in 2010, which cemented an accessible sound blending pop guitars with anthemic choruses. His discography continued with “Nous sommes les mêmes” (2013), “Là dans ma tête” (2014), “La vie qu’il nous reste” (2017), and “Rien ne se perd” (2020), records that confirmed a move toward contemporary adult pop and enjoyed strong airplay on francophone radio in Canada. Alongside studio work and touring in Quebec, Dupré maintains a prominent presence on television as a coach on La Voix, mentoring young performers and engaging in numerous collaborations across Quebec’s pop scene, while occasionally taking on acting roles and voice work for the screen.
