Map.ache

Active on Leipzig’s electronic scene in Germany, Map.ache has developed since the late 2000s a personal approach to house that blends deep textures, moderate tempos and melancholic atmospheres. As a producer and DJ, he became involved early on with the KANN label, structuring much of his studio output and club appearances around that platform before also joining the Giegling catalogue. His discography unfolded in stages with the album Ulfo (2012) on KANN, followed by Vom Ende bis zum Anfang (2018) and Vier (2022) on Giegling, which continue a style oriented toward minimal house, dub and ambient elements. Map.ache’s tracks favor stretched pads, supple basslines and discreet melodic motifs, designed both for extended listening and for club use. At the same time, Map.ache has developed a DJ presence across European stages, championing a selection mainly of deep house and subtle techno, and participates in the duo Manamana with Sevensol, an extension of his production work focused exclusively on the dancefloor.
