Majestic

Born Kevin Adam Christie and raised in north London, Majestic continues the lineage of the UK garage, house and bassline scenes, with a sound focused on club rhythms, straightforward choruses and frequent references to 1990s and 2000s dance and pop. As a teenager he started out as an MC at garage nights and on local pirate radio before developing his own productions. He released his first single, “Kebab Riddim”, in 2005, followed by the EP Topgear in 2006, and made a name for himself on the London club scene with tracks like “In the Club” with Wideboys. Across the 2010s Majestic alternated between original tracks, collaborations and edits in a style that is at once celebratory and distinctly rooted in UK dance culture; his vocals have been sampled on tracks by Skrillex and Droideka. His recent discography also includes reinterpretations and hybrids, from “Rasputin” in 2021 to “Million Dollar Bill” with Beyond Chicago and Alex Mills in 2023, and “Set My Heart on Fire” with The Jammin Kid in 2024. Majestic has also collaborated with Jungle 70, Tigermonkey, FooR and Dread MC, confirming a trajectory tied both to the historic garage circuit and to more contemporary dance formats.
