Lisa Miskovsky

Born in Obbola, in the north of Sweden, and based in Umeå, Lisa Miskovsky has since the early 2000s developed a repertoire somewhere between pop and rock, with direct melodic writing, prominent guitars and a tone that is often introspective. Lisa Miskovsky emerged with the album Lisa Miskovsky in 2001, followed by Fallingwater in 2003, then Changes in 2006, three records that establish her place on the Swedish anglophone scene. Her path also crosses with other Swedish artists, notably Joakim Berg and Simon Nordberg for the writing and production of several tracks, while she appears as a guest on “Dead End” by In Flames in 2006, in a darker register at the border of rock and melodic metal. Parallel to her solo career, Lisa Miskovsky wrote the lyrics for “Shape of My Heart” for the Backstreet Boys, underscoring the importance of her work as a songwriter. In 2008, her voice was associated with the video game Mirror’s Edge with “Still Alive”, an atmospheric electro-pop track that gave international visibility to her universe. Her discography thereafter includes Violent Sky in 2011, Umeå in 2013 and Bottenviken in 2019. Lisa Miskovsky also participated in Melodifestivalen in 2012 with “Why Start a Fire” and then in 2022 with “Best to Come”.
