Pernilla Andersson

Born in Stockholm in 1974, Pernilla Andersson works in a register that blends country, pop and singer-songwriter, with writing focused on melody and arrangements that move from acoustic formats to fuller productions without abandoning a simplicity. Active since the late 1990s, Pernilla Andersson launched her solo career with the album My Journey in 1999, which she co-produced, before following with Cradlehouse in 2004, Baby Blue in 2007, Gör dig till hund in 2008, Ashbury Apples in 2009, Ö in 2010, Det är en spricka i allt det är så ljuset kommer in in 2012, and Tiggrinnan in 2016. Her career alternates releases in English then Swedish, which accompanies an evolution toward an expression more rooted in the Swedish pop scene. In parallel with her records, Pernilla Andersson has also worked as a producer and guest singer, notably with Svante Thuresson, Club 8, The Legends, Di Leva and Måns Zelmerlöw. She has also become known to a broader audience through her participations in Melodifestivalen, in 2011 with 'Desperados' and in 2016 with 'Mitt guld'.
