Kris Barras Band

Born in Devon in southwest England, the Kris Barras Band took shape in 2015 around singer and guitarist Kris Barras, a former MMA fighter who turned to music. Initially rooted in British blues rock with influences from classic rock and southern rock, the band gradually shifted toward a denser, more direct hard rock while retaining a guitar style steeped in the blues. This progression is evident on the albums Lucky 13 (2016), The Divine and Dirty (2018), Light It Up (2019), Death Valley Paradise (2022) and Halo Effect (2024). On stage, the Kris Barras Band operates within the UK rock and blues circuit with a lineup centered on Kris Barras, guitarist and keyboardist Josiah Manning, bassist Frazer Kerslake and drummer Billy Hammett. Between emphatic riffs, melodic vocal lines and blues-derived solos, the band has developed a sound that sits at the crossroads of blues rock, modern hard rock and an often-present American aesthetic in its songwriting.
