Terry Francis
Active on the British electronic scene since the 1990s, Terry Francis established himself in the wake of London’s house and tech-house movements, with an approach centered on groove, long transitions and a sustained club tension without showy effects. Born in the UK in 1966, the DJ and producer initially circulated through the English underground before becoming a fixture of London club culture — notably through the Wiggle parties and a residency that began in October 1999 at the opening of Fabric, where he remained a long-standing presence. His studio work includes solo releases and the Housey Doingz project with Nathan Coles, a collaboration founded on a shared vision of minimal, flexible and hypnotic house. In his discography he released the mix albums Architecture and Architecture Vol 2 in 1998, Freezeinwithm in 2000, DJ Magazine Presents UCMG UK Selected Cuts in 2001, then Fabric 02 in 2002 and Gasworks in 2015; he also appears with Nathan Coles on Fabric 28 in 2006 under the name Wiggle. This trajectory places Terry Francis in a continuity faithful to British dancefloors and to the long-term evolution of tech house.
