Hatiras

Beyond Hatiras lies George Hatiras, a Canadian producer and DJ active in electronic music since the late 1990s. Originating from the North American house scene, Hatiras first drew attention in the early 2000s with 'Spaced Invader', a track released in 2001 on Defected, which circulated widely in clubs and marked his entry onto the international scene. His work spans a house spectrum from early funky house and filtered house to more recent forms of jackin house, tech house and vocal house, with a constant penchant for direct grooves, punchy basslines, and disco references. Hatiras subsequently developed a very extensive discography, released on various house and electronic labels, while maintaining regular DJ activity in clubs and at festivals. Among his discographic milestones are the album Arrival (2002), then Blow Up (2003), as well as more recent releases showing the evolution of his sound toward a drier, more rhythmic house. Hatiras is also connected to organizing parties and to his own label, Spacedisco Records, extending a career rooted in club culture as much as in production.
