Gabriel & Dresden
Formed in San Francisco in 2001 around Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden, Gabriel & Dresden occupy an electronic territory between progressive trance, melodic house and vocal-oriented songwriting. The project initially grew through a series of remixes for New Order, Way Out West, Sarah McLachlan, Annie Lennox and Jewel, before the release of their debut single 'Lament' in 2002. Gabriel & Dresden then broadened their identity with more vocal-led productions, notably as Motorcycle with JES on 'As the Rush Comes' in 2003, and later with tracks like 'Tracking Treasure Down' and 'Dangerous Power' from the Gabriel & Dresden album released in 2006. Their writing blends club structures, progressive synth lines and a dark pop tone while remaining rooted in the dancefloor format. After splitting in 2008, Gabriel & Dresden reformed in 2011 and returned to a regular presence on club and festival stages, from Coachella to Electric Daisy Carnival and Tomorrowland. The duo continued their discography with The Only Road in 2017 and Remedy in 2020, while staying connected to major labels and circuits of the electronic scene such as Organized Nature, Armada Music and Anjunabeats.
