Irfane

A soul voice on many tracks of the French electronic scene, Irfane is a French singer and songwriter based in Paris, active since the early 2000s across hip hop, funk, RnB and house. First known as the frontman of the group Outlines, he developed with that formation a blend of groove, rap and pop, notably embodied by the 2007 album ‘‘Our Lives Are Too Short’’. At the same time, Irfane established himself as a regular collaborator with producers from the electro and club spheres, particularly with Breakbot, with whom he recorded tracks marked by a disco, pop and boogie aesthetic, driven by direct songwriting and prominently featured vocal melodies. Across his projects, Irfane alternates group work, guest appearances and releases under his own name, while remaining rooted in a world where soul singing rubs up against electronic rhythms—both on record and on stage, within the club and festival circuits associated with the French touch and urban music.
