Inna

Active on the European dance scene since the late 2000s, Inna is part of the wave of electronic pop emerging from Romania, blending house, eurodance and Latin sounds. Born Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu in 1986 in Mangalia, she broke through with the single “Hot”, which paved the way for a debut album of the same name in 2009, characterised by a club-oriented approach. The collaboration with producer trio Play & Win defined this early period and continued on “I Am the Club Rocker” (2011), where the singer consolidated a straightforward dance-pop style driven by English-language choruses. With “Party Never Ends” (2013) and then “Inna” (2015) she gradually expanded her palette toward electropop and radio-friendly pop, incorporating more features with artists from the EDM and urban scenes. “Nirvana” (2017) and especially “Yo” (2019), entirely in Spanish, confirmed a turn toward reggaeton and Latin textures, while keeping songwriting focused on short, highly melodic formats. Continuing to refine an accessible club sound, Inna followed with “Heartbreaker” (2020), both volumes of “Champagne Problems” (2022) and “Just Dance” (2023), exploring deeper house and electropop nuances, supported by a strong visual presence in her videos and regular appearances at festivals and clubs across Europe and Latin America.
