Ilario Alicante
Born in Livorno in 1988, Ilario Alicante emerged in the late 2000s with an electronic sound positioned between techno, tech house and minimal — conceived for the club but marked by a direct melodic sense. After an early start in production, he first drew attention in 2008 with the track “Vacaciones En Chile,” followed by “Living Near Africa” on Cecille Records, two releases that accompanied his rise on the European scene. His trajectory quickly brought him close to the Cocoon universe and led him to found the label Deep Moves, intended as a space for his own releases and those of other producers. Present in clubs and festivals across Germany, Ibiza and the wider international circuit, Ilario Alicante has moved his aesthetic toward a broader, tenser techno while retaining his house and minimal foundations. In 2016 he launched Virgo and developed the Virgo Transmissions project around the label. Recent highlights include a collaboration with Giorgio Moroder in 2019 and the EP “Utopia” in 2020 with Dubfire and Kevin de Vries, continuing his work toward dense, hypnotic techno tailored for the dancefloor.
